The 2008 wedding season really took off at the weekend with two great weddings.  The first was Sarah & Tom who were married in St Peter’s church in Burnham followed by the wedding breakfast at Stoke Place.  I photographed Sarah’s sister Caroline’s wedding a few years ago, so it was great to catch up & see everyone again.  Here a a few images from the day or you can view the whole gallery here (but only if you know the password which is Sarah’s maiden surname!)

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting  Carron & James’ wedding at two of the most beautiful venues in Dorset. Firstly, the picturesque Bradford Peverell Church and then a quick drive to the stunning Chantmarle Manor.   The day was simply perfect!  If you were a guest at the wedding you can view the full gallery here. 

Here are a few pictures just before & after Noah’s arrival early on Sunday morning.  We had expected a completely normal birth, so if I look a little shell-shocked, it’s because I really didn’t expect to find myself decked out in ’scrubs’ standing in an operating theatre watching Rebecca have an emergency caesarean-section.  The bottom picture is courtesy of one of the fantastic theatre team at Salisbury District Hospital and is the first of Rebecca & I with baby Noah.. 

after many months of deliberation we’ve decided to call our lovely little boy “Noah James Stratton-Anderson”.  The name ‘Noah’ is of Hebrew origin and means ‘peaceful’, ‘rest’, ‘comforter’ and ‘long-lived’.  Rebecca & Noah are still hospital & are expected to be there for a few more days while Rebecca recovers from a ‘not-so‘ straightforward birth.  They’re both now doing really well & Noah seems to be happiest asleep or feeding - what a great life!  Here’s a pic taken during during his Monday afternoon nap!

Very proud to announce that Rebecca gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 12.24 am yesterday (30th March 2008).  The baby weighed in at 9lb 30z, his name is still to be decided.  Pics & name to follow! 

… our new baby is due any day now & how excited am I!!!?  He’s officially due on Saturday, but I’m told that babies aren’t normally good timekeepers - only 5% actually arrive on their due date,  so the bags are packed, Betty’s staying with her dog-grand-parents & we’re ready to go!  News & pics of our new arrival to follow…. soon!  

Here’s a pic of Betty looking very sorry for herself after she was spayed last week.  She’s wearing the latest in doggie couture, a plastic ‘elizabethan’ collar to stop her from getting at her stitches, which she absolutely hates and has now learnt to remove herself!  After her operation she cried just about non-stop for 24 hours, but is now back to her normal self, and just can’t understand why we keep putting the uncomfortable collar on her…    

Spent some time yesterday with Rob at the UK’s largest photographic trade show - Focus On Imaging at the NEC.  A great day for anorak spotting & getting your hands on the latest equipment!  Rob was salivating over the new Nikon D3 but at over £3000 I think I’ll pass!  In fact I managed to survive the whole day without buying any new kit at all.  No photos, to show of the event - I didn’t take a camera!
